Minnesota Timberwolves: Wolves waive James Nunnally

When the Minnesota Timberwolves signed James Nunnally over the summer, it appeared as though Nunnally had a shot to crack the rotation. Now, the veteran wing has been waived.

As it turned out, the Wolves had plenty of depth after the impressive early season emergence of rookie Josh Okogie, the relative health and surprising play of Derrick Rose, and the two-for-three trade with Philadelphia that netted two rotation players in Robert Covington and Dario Saric.

Recently, the since-fired Tom Thibodeau had begun using Anthony Tolliver at small forward in the absence of Covington and Rose, who are both injured.
