Minnesota Timberwolves: Wolves land No. 11 pick in draft lottery

Until 2015, when the Minnesota Timberwolves landed the No. 1 overall pick and had the chance to select Karl-Anthony Towns, the franchise had never moved up in the NBA Draft Lottery. And that’s despite being part of the lottery proceedings more often than not in franchise history.

The Wolves had always stayed in the same spot or slid backwards, which is exactly what happened this year.

Heading into the night, the Wolves were in the No. 10 slot, with a three percent chance at landing the No. 1 pick and a great chance to stay in the top 10.
