This isn’t what the Minnesota Timberwolves had in mind for the next time they saw Jimmy Butler.
Butler’s former team fell behind by double-figures not even halfway through the first quarter and never got closer, giving up a shocking 83 points in the first half and ultimately losing by 42.
The game was out of hand so quickly that not a single player on either team played more than 28 minutes. Joel Embiid scored 31 points in only 27 minutes, managing to get up 17 shots in that amount of time. Jimmy Butler had 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting for the 76ers.
