Minnesota Timberwolves sign Isaiah Canaan to a 10-day contract

A healthy point guard is starting to become a thing of the past for the Minnesota Timberwolves. With Jeff Teague, Tyus Jones, and Derrick Rose all ailing, Minnesota has had to rely way too much on Jerryd Bayless lately.

Needing a steady option to backup Bayless (sorry, Jared Terrell), the Timberwolves are planning to sign six-year NBA veteran guard Isaiah Canaan to a 10-day contract.

There are some more accomplished (but older) point guard options out there than Canaan, such as Mario Chalmers or Jameer Nelson, that probably would have made more sense.
