A new name that the Minnesota Timberwolves have been linked to among a pile of notable, albeit not always intriguing Timberwolves rumors, according to KSTP’s Darren Wolfson: Amir Johnson.
The only move that the Wolves have reportedly made so far has been signing Derrick Rose for the minimum, about $2.3 million. Minnesota needs all the depth and consistency off the bench that they can get, and they’ll need all the insurance they can get if Nemanja Bjelica ends up going somewhere else in free agency, too.
Johnson is 31 years old and has been in the league for 13 years after coming into the league as the 56th pick back in 2005.
