The Minnesota Timberwolves open the regular season this Wednesday in Brooklyn. As expected, there is plenty to talk about as we draw ever closer to the start of the franchise’s 31st season.
First, there was the release of the final roster. The Wolves waived Tyrone Wallace to get to their final number of 17 along with releasing Barry Brown, Jr. and Tyus Battle, who had each signed Exhibit 10 contracts the week prior.
The Wallace move was not unexpected, although we had spent some time here at Dunking With Wolves debating what some of the other roster combinations could be, from attempting to trade Keita Bates-Diop or Gorgui Dieng to surprising everyone by waiving one of the rookies with modest guaranteed money.
