The Minnesota Timberwolves and Tom Thibodeau faced an important decision on Sunday afternoon. It was an easy one, but a decision nonetheless. Faced with having to guarantee Marcus Georges-Hunt contract for the rest of the season or release him, the Timberwolves have chosen to keep the 6-foot-5 wing around.
This was hardly a surprise, as Georges-Hunt was played fairly well in the limited time he’s seen on the floor. In 22 appearances this season, he’s averaged 3.4 minutes, 0.9 points, 0.1 rebounds and 0.1 assists per game.
The stats hardly tell the whole story, or any part of it for that matter, because Georges-Hunt has been a nice depth piece for Minnesota.
