The Minnesota Timberwolves shook up the point guard rotation this offseason after letting Derrick Rose and Tyus Jones walk in free agency.
New president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas brought in Tyrone Wallace this summer to compete for point guard minutes, but he’s now been waived (according to Woj) after an unimpressive preseason.
To be fair to Wallace, he didn’t get much opportunity to show his skills in a preseason game as he only played double-digit minutes twice this October.
The Wolves had guaranteed $300,000 of Wallace’s salary, and they have to be a bit disappointed in that investment by paying him that money without any contributions in the regular season.
