The Minnesota Timberwolves made the playoffs for the first time in 14 years in 2018.
Overall, it wasn’t much of a surprise when they went out and made some big moves in the offseason. They made some trades and free agent signings that brought in established and All-Star veterans.
After going through the process of youth and developing players, the Timberwolves front office thought it was time for a change in scenery, and a change of scenery is exactly what they managed to do: Minnesota traded away Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn away in exchange for Jimmy Butler on draft night.
