Minnesota Timberwolves: Assessing the point guard market

The Minnesota Timberwolves had the opportunity to address their point guard need in the 2019 NBA Draft last week. However, when North Carolina’s Coby White was available after the Timberwolves had traded up for the No. 6 overall pick, they instead opted to select Jarret Culver, the promising wing from Texas Tech. Culver is certainly an exciting pick but has left the roster feeling incomplete due to the vast array of wings and lack of depth at point guard.

As of right now, Jeff Teague is the only point guard who is under contract for Minnesota in the 2019-20 season.
