After making their first playoff appearance in 13 seasons last year, the Minnesota Timberwolves have had an up-and-down first half to the 2018-19 season.
However, even with uneven play, the conclusion to the Jimmy Butler saga, and the firing of Tom Thibodeau, the Wolves still find themselves in the thick of the playoff hunt in the Western Conference.
Following Friday’s loss to the Spurs and heading into Sunday’s game against The Suns, Minnesota is 21-24 and sits in 11th place in the West. That’s just three games out of the eighth and final playoff spot, currently held by the Los Angeles Clippers.
