The Lynx needed to get their final roster down to 12 players, and the team announced Tuesday that Kelley and Taylor did not make the cut.
Minnesota needed to reduce its roster to 12 players before Thursday's league deadline, and yesterday the team waived forwards Shae Kelley and Asia Taylor.
The Lynx drafted Taylor in 2014 (No. 36 overall), and she played 22 games for the team last season. During that stint, Taylor averaged 2.7 points and 1.4 rebounds over 7.9 minutes on the floor.
Kelley was a University of Minnesota alum and entering her rookie season in the WNBA.
