Maya Moore ended weeks of speculation today by announcing she would sit out the 2019 WNBA season. She will instead focus:
“...on the people in my family, as well as on investing my time in some ministry dreams that have been stirring in my heart for many years.”
Whether she returns to the WNBA and the Lynx in 2020 or at some future point remains to be seen.
This obviously leaves an MVP-sized hole in the Lynx lineup, something they cannot replace. In the meantime, however, they have been active on the free agent front, re-signing Seimone Augustus and signing Karima Christmas-Kelly.
