Martin Controls Own Narrative In Win Against Jazz

For some, the Timberwolves’ task of facing the Jazz in Utah on Monday night seemed to be a clear path for the team to drop to .500 for the first time this season. The Wolves were on a two-game losing streak and would be without Andrew Wiggins (illness) for the third game in a row and were still missing Shabazz Napier (hamstring) who hasn’t played since Nov. 4.

Kelan Martin had other plans.

Martin, who had played less than 35 regular-season minutes for the Wolves prior to Monday night, saw Monday’s shorthanded roster as an opportunity to show fans what Gersson Rosas saw in him when he awarded the former Butler forward a two-way contract with the Wolves back in August.
