Fans and followers of the WNBA were giddy about this WNBA Finals matchup for good reason. Even putting aside their history, these teams are so remarkably evenly matched. In both games 1 and 2, the result was decided in the final possessions, with last night’s game two finishing 70-68 in favor of the Lynx.
For the second straight game one team got out to a huge first quarter lead. This time around it was the Lynx who opened the game looking like world-beaters. After losing the first quarter 32-11 on Sunday night, the Lynx outscored Los Angeles 28-10 on Tuesday.
