While Wright is sidelined indefinitely, Montgomery offers some more flexibility at the guard position.
The Minnesota Lynx announced Monday that they have acquired guard Renee Montgomery and a 2016 second-round draft pick from Seattle in exchange for injured guard Monica Wright.
The transaction will actually mean a return to Minnesota for Montgomery, who was drafted by the Lynx No. 4 overall in the 2009 WNBA Draft.
During her one season in Minnesota, Montgomery was named to the 2009 Adidas All-Rookie Team and averaged 9.0 pts, 2.1 assists and 1.9 rpg.
