The Minnesota Lynx embarked on their 26th season on the road against a reloaded Seattle Storm team. If this sounds familiar, it’s because just two years ago, the Storm played their very first game at Climate Pledge Arena in the season opener*. That was the season where both Sue Bird and Sylvia Fowles bid their farewells to the WNBA.
A lot has changed in two years. Both of these world-class organizations have had to reshape their rosters in different ways. Seattle unsuccessfully tanked for Caitlin Clark in their first season without Breanna Stewart, finishing with the second worst record in the league.
