For the first time in nearly a month, the Minnesota Lynx were back in action Thursday night against the Washington Mystics as the WNBA returned from the break for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Napheesa Collier and coach Cheryl Reeve come home as Olympic champions, taking home the gold medal in a one-point win over Team France on Sunday. It was Collier’s first action for the Lynx since injuring her left foot on July 4.
Both teams would struggle to score in the first quarter, possibly due to the long layoff for both teams.
