Lynx 78, Mystics 71: Collier’s Strong Second Half Edges Minnesota Past Washington

An ugly game in the nation’s capital went down this Sunday afternoon as the Minnesota Lynx took on the Washington Mystics for the fourth and final time this season. After losing to Dallas a little over a week ago to break their 7-game win streak dating back to before the Olympic break, the Lynx wasted no time starting up a new streak as a win today brought them up to three in a row. The Mystics had been on a small streak of their own, winning their last two games heading into their game at home against Minnesota.

As is typical of matinee games, both teams started off slow in this one.
