Regardless of if her playing career ended earlier than it should have, Maya Moore is still one of the best to ever put on a Minnesota Lynx uniform and will go down as one of the best women’s basketball players of all-time.
In honor of her legendary career, eight years of which were spent in the WNBA and in Minnesota, the Lynx are giving her the ultimate recognition on Aug. 24 at Target Center. Moore will become the fifth player in franchise history to have her jersey retired when her No. 23 jersey goes up into the rafters following Minnesota’s game against the Indiana Fever.
