The Timberwolves game at Target Center on Monday night against the Brooklyn Nets has been postponed.
The decision comes after the Twins postponed their afternoon game against the Red Sox at Target Field following the fatal shooting of a Black motorist on Sunday. The Wild also postponed its game with St. Louis, set for Xcel Energy Center.
Daunte Wright was shot during a traffic stop by an officer who, according to Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon, deployed a service revolver instead of a Taser.
The team released this statement:
"Yesterday's tragic event, involving the life of Daunte Wright, once again leaves our community mourning.
