Wolves fans will remember Craig Smith (perhaps better known as “The Rhino”) as being one of the more successful second-round draft picks in franchise history. He may now be known internationally for a talent of his that appears to be significantly less impressive than basketball.
Smith was the 36th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft and played 233 games over three seasons in Minnesota, starting 47 of them including 31 in the 2008-09 season.
He was a legitimately solid player for the Wolves in 19.5 minutes per game during those three seasons before playing smaller bench roles in three ensuing seasons, two with the Los Angeles Clippers and the 2011-12 campaign with the Portland Trail Blazers.
