After wrapping up a three-game road trip stemming back to last weekend, the Minnesota Lynx returned home to welcome in a very popular rookie talent and squad to Minneapolis.
Minnesota hosted Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever for the first time of the season Sunday afternoon, with fans arriving to Target Center in a record amount to watch the rookie sensation and Iowa native in person for the first time against a team she grew up watching.
Though both teams weren’t at full strength, with Napheesa Collier held out for the third straight game with a left foot injury, a back-and-forth battle in Minneapolis ended with Indiana coming out on top 81-74 behind a 28-14 advantage in the fourth quarter to come back on the road.
