Growing up, Neil Olstad didn’t know he would become a die-hard Timberwolves fan, and he didn’t know he’d be performing interactive shows in elementary school gymnasiums. Now he’s doing both, and he couldn’t be happier.
Olstad moved to Minnesota from Iowa as an elementary student himself. The now-six-foot-four basketball junkie played the sport regularly, and Wolves games soon became a favorite family activity.
“There’s no NBA team in Des Moines, so when we came here we started going to games,” Olstad explained. “I grew up watching those late-90s Wolves: the KG-Marbury-Gugliotta era.”
He was hooked. While some fans came and went with the ups and downs of the team, Olstad said losses never fazed him.
