With the No. 1 overall pick in hand, it’s very unlikely that the Minnesota Timberwolves use their first round selection on Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Deni Avdija. That said, the possibility of trading up from No. 17 or down from No. 1 is reason enough to keep Avdija on Timberwolves follower’s radar. There is also RJ Hampton, the No. 5 prospect in the 2019 high school class who played for the New Zealand Breakers this season, who is another possibility for the Timberwolves — most likely with that No. 17 pick.
