One could conjure up any number of player comps for Wolves rookie and number-one overall draft pick Karl-Anthony Towns. That’s a big part of the fun in projecting draft prospects — what current or former NBA player will they resemble?
Amin Elhassan of ESPN wrote an Insider piece earlier in the week comparing Towns with New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis. There are obvious similarities, of course, but there are also stark differences between the two big men.
Elhassan starts with the common threads: both are around six-foot-eleven, both played at Kentucky for John Calipari, both entered the NBA draft after their freshman year, and both were the number-one overall draft selection.
