Charley Walters: Glen Taylor counting on Timberwolves' Ricky Rubio to blossom

Ricky Rubio, with 28 points and 14 assists for the Minnesota Timberwolves in their season-opening 112-111 victory over the Lakers in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, was the point guard the team hoped he would be when they signed him to a $55 million, four-year contract exactly one year ago.

"What a way to start out the year," Wolves owner Glen Taylor said. "If he can do most of those types of things during the year, it would make so much difference for our team. Not only did he have a good game, but because of that, other people had good games, too.
