On Feb. 22 when the Kansas Jayhawks hosted TCU, the Jayhawks retired Brandon Rush’s No. 25 jersey. Rush, now a wing for the Timberwolves, played three seasons with Kansas from 2005 to 2008.

Rush’s jersey is now hanging in Allen Fieldhouse and for Rush, it was a very special night.

“To look up there and see my name, my family name up there is huge,” Rush said. “. . . I’m happy. This is the biggest day of my life. I’m glad that the Jayhawks fans (are) here and I appreciate ya’ll coming here and supporting me and thank you.
