If Minnesota fans caught any of Serbia’s win over Spain on Saturday, they probably came away extremely excited to finally see Nemanja Bjelica finally make the jump to Minnesota later this month.
Bjelica led Serbia to an 80-70 win over Spain. He outplayed everyone in the game, including All-Star forward Pau Gasol. Gasol finished with 16 points and five rebounds. Certainly respectable, but not quite as impressive as Bjelica’s game. The versatile forward finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and four rebounds in Serbia’s first game during the Group Phase.
"I was not surprised of the shots Bjelica made in the clutch, he is the professor of big shots,” Serbia center Miroslav Raduljica on his teammate’s play.
