Minnesota fans saw how well Anthony Bennett played in the Pan America Games earlier this summer. The question was whether or not it would translate to the 2015-16 season. Well, we don’t know that yet, but we do know that it has translated to the 2015 FIBA Americas in Mexico.
On Thursday, Bennett’s Canada squad beat Venezuela, 82-62, moving to 2-1 in preliminary play.
Bennett was a big reason for that win, finishing with a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double. He also dished out four assists. He remained efficient, shooting 5-of-7 from the field.
His numbers in the first three preliminary game have been impressive.
