Andrew Wiggins Wins Rookie of the Year, Wolves Looking Ahead to Draft Lottery

Timberwolves fans received one more silver lining to the 16-66 season when the league announced Wednesday that Andrew Wiggins would be named Rookie of the Year. Wiggins is the first player in the Wolves 26-year franchise history to win ROY honors.

The Wolves held a press conference Thursday afternoon to make the announcement.

At 20 years old, Wiggins led all rookies per game in points, minutes, field goals and free throws while being the only roster member to play in every single game. In 11 of the 15 final games of the season, Wiggins scored 20+ points per game.
