The Minnesota Timberwolves suffered a close loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, but it was a productive night for Andrew Wiggins. Scoring 20 points, the fifth-year forward surpassed Sam Mitchell for second on the Timberwolves all-time scoring list.
Minnesota’s history isn’t littered with scoring feens, but this is an impressive feat for Wiggins nonetheless. It took him just 368 games to get to this point, while Mitchell played nearly 1,000 total games (in a much smaller role than Wiggins, of course). Wiggins started off the year fifth on the list, also surpassing Wally Szczerbiak and Kevin Love this season.
