I want to give an update regarding the comment policy that was rolled out a few days ago. As I mentioned at the time, this policy was not set in stone, and we planned to evaluate its impact and adjust accordingly. From the comments that you left, it’s abundantly clear that restricting political discussions to the off-topic thread was not well received. While a few people agreed with the change, the vast majority did not.
First and foremost, this site is a community. It’s not just my site or the writing staff’s site—it belongs to all of us in a way.
