The Andrew Wiggins situation is one that avid Minnesota Timberwolves fans know all too well: he contains enough pure talent to make even the most cynical NBA fans affectionately gaze when he’s at his best. He also displays so little outward desire to be great that those aforementioned flashes of excellence have lost their charm for passionate Wolves fans that have now long been clamoring for more consistency.
These frustrations seem to have been brewing for quite some time now, but with his massive contract kicking in next season and his production lagging behind the hefty checks that he is about to be depositing, it is no surprise that some people around the league are thinking that perhaps trading Wiggins would be in the Timberwolves’ best interest.
