The Minnesota Timberwolves are clearly not much for standing on the sidelines and waiting for all the dust to settle. Just hours into the opening of the 2023 NBA Free Agency market, the Timberwolves have resigned wing Nickeil Alexander-Walker, agreed to extend backup PG Jordan McLaughlin, and even found a way to replace recently waived forward Taurean Prince with another defense-centric forward in Troy Brown Jr.
But the Minnesota Timberwolves were just getting their palette primed for the main course. There were more names to be assessed, and more players to talk to and negotiate with over new contract terms.
