After a thrilling victory on Sunday against the Summer Sixers in the inaugural “Ben Simmons Bowl,” it was my belief (and many others) that the Minnesota Timberwolves had concluded their Summer League with a perfect record, but because of point differential they would not qualify for today’s championship game.
Well, I was wrong.

Like many other things in life, I failed to read the fine print of the Summer League contract that said all teams would be guaranteed five games in Las Vegas, which is why the Wolves will still play a final game later today despite being eliminated from championship contention.
