The ping pong balls are in, and the Minnesota Timberwolves will pick 13th in the 2014 NBA Draft. Their 40-42 record from 2013-14, thirteenth worst in the league, qualifies them for the pick.
Last year, Minnesota got two stabs at the first round when they traded 9th overall pick Trey Burke to the Utah Jazz for the 14th and 21st overall picks. They, in turn, ended up with Shabazz Muhammad and Gorgui Dieng, respectively.
Even at number 13, there’s certainly no lack of talent in this year's pool for Minnesota to choose from.
The 2014 NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, June 26.
