FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- The Gophers offense was non-existent for the opening 22 minutes of the first half against Colorado State on Saturday afternoon at Hughes Stadium.
The Gophers had six drives without a first down and 28 total yards.
They picked up their first first down at 7:30 in the second quarter and went on a 15-play, 81-yard drive that ended in a field goal. Awaken, Minnesota then went nine plays and 42 yards and booted another field goal on the next drive.
Colorado State, which won 10 games in 2014, led 7-6 at halftime.
