Hugh McCutcheon didn't feel the urge to watch Nebraska beat Texas in Saturday's NCAA tournament final.
The Gophers volleyball coach was too busy playing with his kids back home, which helped get his mind off the University of Minnesota's disappointing semifinal loss to the Longhorns in the Final Four last week in Omaha.
"Turns out I watched enough volleyball," McCutcheon said with a smile Monday.
Being so close to competing for the program's first NCAA title made it hard to see another Big Ten team win it all, especially since Minnesota beat Nebraska in Lincoln this year.
