UMN's No. 2 athletics department official Mike Ellis quits

Mike Ellis, who worked under disgraced former University of Minnesota athletics director Norwood Teague, quit Friday after a two-month leave of absence.

Teague resigned Aug. 7 after two co-workers accused him of sexual harassment during a work retreat in July.

The U subsequently received a series of complaints involving Ellis, who agreed to step away from his job as senior associate athletics director while the U investigated. The U continued to pay Ellis his $153,000 salary.

In his resignation letter Friday, effective Nov. 20, Ellis said he had done nothing wrong and that he has accepted a job elsewhere:
