Don't expect the Gophers to have a new athletics director anytime soon.
University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler said Monday that the ideal time to bring in a new leader would be next spring.
"We're going want somebody who is pretty involved right now with football and then they're going to be involved in basketball," Kaler told KSTP Channel 5. "So really the time to look is a March, April time frame, and that's what we are gearing up to do."
Former Gophers AD Norwood Teague, who resigned Aug. 7 after he was investigated for sexual harassing two university employees, was announced as the replacement for Joel Maturi in April 2012.
