The University of Minnesota is implementing extra security measures for the Gophers' two final football games at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
The measures, announced Wednesday, follow last week's terrorist attacks in Paris. The U said that while there are no known security threats against collegiate stadiums, it was taking the steps "for the safety of TCF Bank Stadium attendees."
The extra security, which will be in place for Saturday's game against Illinois and the Nov. 28 game against Wisconsin, include more public safety personnel on campus and a requirement that only clear bags be brought into TCF Bank Stadium.
