NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Three years ago, Twins great Bert Blyleven was part of a Hall of Fame Veterans Committee that voted to enshrine Deacon White, Hank O'Day and former New York Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert.
Monday it was announced the 16-member panel, again with Blyleven as one of its members, failed to elect any new hall of famers. The closest was 19th-century pioneer Doc Adams, who received 10 votes but fell two votes shy of election.
"There's a lot of work that went into it," said Blyleven, a Hall of Fame pitcher and lead analyst on Twins telecasts at Fox Sports North.
