The seniors obviously were sad to see their season end, but the rest of us pretty much have had enough.
A lengthy, melodramatic, disappointing season came to a close Saturday night at TCF Bank Stadium as the Golden Gophers lost to arch-rival Wisconsin, 31-21. Paul Bunyan's Axe returns to Wisconsin, where it has resided for so long that it qualifies for a state pension.
Said junior receiver Drew Wolitarsky: "I'm looking forward to next year."
