Jerry Kill’s health has been front and center of his career for several years.
His consistent battle with epilepsy caused him to be carried off the field during the 2011 season, miss games while seeking treatment during the 2013 season and eventually forced him to retire as the Gopher’s head coach in 2015...with multiple episodes sprinkled in amongst those mentioned.
After leaving Minnesota in an emotional and tearful press conference, he eventually took an administrative job at Kansas State during the 2016. The pull of coaching reeled him back in and Kill spent this past season as the offensive coordinator at Rutgers.
