Gophers freshman forward Jordan Murphy took it personally when Nebraska-Omaha's Jake White kept attacking him offensively Friday, so he answered again and again.
The back-and-forth frontcourt battle went on throughout the second half, but Murphy came out on top in the end in Minnesota's 93-90 win at Williams Arena.
White, a senior forward from Chaska, finished with a team-high 23 points on 9-for-15 shooting, but he fouled out with two minutes left.
Murphy was Minnesota's go-to guy inside during crunch time with 12 of his career-high 14 points and five of his six rebounds in the second half.
