The Canadian Olympic Women’s Hockey Team made their final cuts for the roster that will complete in the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea this February on Friday. One of the last roster cuts include Minnesota Golden Gophers forward Sarah Potomak. This follows the cut of her sister Amy (who will be a Gopher freshman next fall) earlier in the process. No Gophers remain on the final roster for Team Canada.
Potomak was the youngest remaining player in the centralized Team Canada Camp at 20 years of age. Team Canada appears to be going with a older veteran laden roster as all three Canadian cuts on Friday were players 23 years old or younger.
