The Minnesota Women's basketball team begins its season tonight against Wofford. Coming off a 23-10 opening campaign, Marlene Stollings's team looks to start the season on the same note. The Gophers lost two key contributers in Shae Kelley and all world everything Amanda Zahui B. Advantageously, they return the best scorer in Minnesota history (which will be made official sometime this season) in Rachel Banham.
Based on last season, Minnesota will have a similar tempo, but run the game through their guards. They have good reason to do this, with the aforementioned return of Banham. Expect watching a Minnesota game this year to be fun, with a good chance of winning most games.
