Minnesota RB Rodrick Williams has an awesome pet lizard

Today, in the world of athletes with unique pets, we focus on Minnesota Golden Gophers running back Rodrick Williams Jr. and his savannah monitor, who is 10 months old and two feet long. Brian Bennett of ESPN recently wrote a story on Williams and the lizard, named “Kill” after the dragon Kilgharrah on the TV series “Merlin,” as well as Gophers head coach Jerry Kill.

Even odder is that Williams, now Minnesota’s No. 1 running back with the departure of David Cobb to the NFL, has a leash and harness for Kill (the lizard, that is) and will take him for walks outside his apartment.
