The Minnesota Golden Gophers appeared in the Coaches Poll last week for the first time since 2014 and held on to their spot with a 34-7 victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The win improved their unblemished record to 6-0 and, in addition to gaining ground in the Coaches Poll at No. 20, the Gophers have entered the AP Top 25 at No. 20 as well.
This is Minnesota’s first appearance in the AP Top 25 since 2008, when the Gophers were 7-1 under then head coach Tim Brewster and ranked No. 20.
Ohio State (6-0), Wisconsin (6-0), Penn State (6-0), Michigan (5-1), and Iowa (4-2) are the only other Big Ten teams ranked in either poll.
